The Mets put up a five spot in the fifth inning, punctuated by a three-run homer by Tyrone Taylor, who came off the bench and collected two hits and four RBIs. The big news today outside of the Mets’ resounding victory in San Francisco is the imaging results for Juan Soto, which revealed a minor calf strain. He is considered day-to-day for now and the Mets will decide when they return to New York whether Soto will need an IL stint.
The Mets signed reliever Luke Jackson to a minor league deal yesterday.
