The No. 2 Texas Longhorns (13-0) volleyball head to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide (9-6) at Foster Auditorium for SEC play. The undefeated Longhorns look to extend their undefeated season while the Tide look to capitalize on their sweep over LSU on October 10.
Some players that can turn the tide for ‘Bama are led by graduate outside hitter Victoria Barrett who leads the offense with 199 kills as well as helping out with 21 assists, 13 service aces. Defensively, Barrett has 136 digs and
26 blocks. Redshirt freshman setter Hannah Parant lends a hand with 470 assists and has served 35 aces with 109 digs and 21 blocks. Graduate libero Trinity Stranger holds the back line down with 209 digs and has served 9 aces alongside graduate middle blocker Sarah Stevens holding down the net with 45 blocks. The Tide look to use their experience to topple the steadfast No. 2 Longhorns.
The powerful No. 2 Texas Longhorns (13-0) are still currently one of two undefeated teams left in the country with No. 1 Nebraska (14-0). Some Longhorns that lead the conference in assists per set (13.85) and kills per set (14.90) along with kills per set in the country. True freshman outside hitter Cari Spears aids the Longhorns in kills with 168 while senior libero Emma Halter leads the team in digs at 162 with over 40 sets played. Junior outside hitter Torrey Stafford continues to make noise throughout the nation with 4.52 kills per set with six double doubles thus far in the 2025 season while junior setter Ella Swindle leads the Longhorns with 9.42 assists per set. The Longhorns have totaled 75 team blocks with the aid of middle blockers, sophomore Ayden Ames and redshirt sophomore Nya Bunton who both have been averaging .95 blocks per set.
