The Wisconsin Badgers revealed their throwback uniforms for the 2025 season, with a debut date set for their October 11th contest against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
“In a special collaboration with Under Armour, the Badgers will pay tribute to their proud heritage with a special throwback uniform in 2025. Wisconsin will debut the uniforms on the field for Homecoming on Oct. 11, 2025, against Iowa,” the university said in a statement.
“The uniform
is designed in a throwback style complete with vintage logos. The red jerseys feature block numbers with a simple stripe outline and are adorned with a block W and Bucky Badger logo on the sleeve and back. The Badgers will wear white helmets with red facemasks and the traditional block W from prior eras.”
There was a wide range of reviews online after Wisconsin revealed the new-look uniforms, with many fans praising the look of the jerseys, while having mixed opinions on the helmets.
Of course, the homecoming game against Iowa is a prime opportunity to reveal the jerseys, as it comes against a rival that Wisconsin has dropped three straight games to.
The contest is also in the midst of a rough four-game stretch for the Badgers, where they face Michigan on the road, Iowa at home, Ohio State at home, and Oregon on the road during the month of October.
The Badgers kick off their season in exactly one week, when they take on the Miami (OH) Redhawks at Camp Randall Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
