You could say Nikita Kucherov’s journey to 1,000 NHL points was… Lightning quick. Kucherov sits behind only Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby to reach the 1,000-point mark in the fewest number of games among active players after achieving the feat over the weekend. Former Philadelphia Flyers goalie Carter Hart signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday. Hart was among the five 2018 Canadian junior hockey players who were acquitted of sexual assault earlier this year. Hart, Michael McLeod, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton are not eligible to play in games until Dec. 1 as part of the league’s reinstatement process. [AP via ESPN]
