The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back linebacker Elandon Roberts, per Alan Saunders of Steelers Now.
The Steelers signed Roberts in the middle of the preseason, and many expected him to be a lock to make the 53-man roster. Instead, he was a surprise cut. He now returns to round out a linebacking corps that has been up and down in the first five weeks of the season.
Roberts was with the Steelers from 2023-24, making a big impression on the fanbase in his brief time in Pittsburgh. He was drafted
in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots, where he helped them win two Super Bowls. He spent last season in Las Vegas under defensive coordinator Patrick Graham.
For his career, Roberts has 694 tackles, 60 tackles for loss, and five forced fumbles.
