Eric Young is a maniac. A world class maniac, if you will. Due to all the invaders making a mockery of TNA, Young has the notion in his mind that it is his duty to cleanse the company. It starts with that goofball Joe Hendry.
Young made that point clear by attacking Hendry backstage.
Being that this is the professional wrestling business, Hendry wanted a match
to dish out payback. Young obliged for TNA Impact (Sept. 11, 2025), or so we all thought. Young pulled a switcheroo to insert Travis Williams in his place. Hendry handled business for the Standing Ovation slam to win. The action didn’t end there. Young was incensed at the failure of the Northern Armory, so he ordered Judas Icarus to piledrive Williams. When Icarus hesitated too long, Young beat them both up. Two piledrivers apiece to Williams and Icarus.
Backstage, Young explained his actions. If you’re not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem. Young even sassed Santino Marella as a puppet of authority. Santino booked Young versus Icarus for next week.
This little storyline is particularly interesting to keep an eye on, because Hendry has been clear that his contract with TNA ends this year. Could this be Hendry’s final feud on his way out? And if so, will Young cleanse Hendry out of the company?
