The Los Angeles Rams had started the process of potentially getting some NFL rules looked at and altered after the funky 2-point play that went against them in their massive second matchup against the Seattle Seahawks last season, but it is reported that the rules changes have been withdrawn.
This isn’t too surprising as Sean McVay himself had said that the play in question was very rare, but the Rams did want to explore maybe making some changes if it made sense, but whether it was an act or not,
McVay made it clear he was spending more time on figuring out how to make his team better as opposed to how to change the league rules.
Always new developments around the NFL at all times.

Rams withdraw rule proposals stemming from bizarre 2-point conversion vs. Seahawks (ramswire)
“The Rams proposed to change two rules stemming from that play but according to ProFootballTalk, they’ve since withdrawn both proposals. The first was to have backward passes treated as fumbles in situations such as fourth downs, inside the 2-minute warning and on two-point conversions. That would’ve prevented the Seahawks from advancing the fumble and recovering it for a successful conversion in the end zone.
The Rams also wanted a 40-second time limit for replay reviews to be initiated. In the Rams-Seahawks scenario, the review started more than a minute after the play was over, and the teams had both lined up for the ensuing kickoff already.“
Rams president Kevin Demoff supports proposal to expand trading of draft picks (nbcsports)
“The Browns have proposed expanding the window to trade future draft picks from three to five years and Rams president Kevin Demoff explained on X.com why he believes that is a good idea.
“Nothing creates more interest in the NFL than trades,” Demoff wrote. “This is why Cleveland’s proposal to allow teams to trade picks up to 5 years out as opposed to 3 years out makes so much sense. More picks to trade = more trades = more interest & team building options.”
Rams have used less draft capital on this position than any NFL team since 2022 (ramswire)
“Sure, they’ve landed studs such as Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp in the mid-to-late rounds, but they don’t often draft wide receivers early. In fact, Van Jefferson and Tutu Atwell are the only wideouts the Rams have drafted in the top two rounds since McVay was hired.
Warren Sharp pointed out with a new chart that the Rams have used less draft capital on wide receivers since 2022 than any team in the NFL. They didn’t draft a wideout in 2022, took Nacua in the fifth round in 2023, Jordan Whittington in the sixth a year later and Konata Mumpfield in the seventh last year. That’s it.“

“Is D Hop available for the league minimum? If not, I can’t see the Rams investing millions in a one year rental. We don’t need Davante Adams -2.0, a good receiver on his last leg. We need to draft a game changer like Kenyon Sadiq, Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, or one of the other top WR’s in the draft.
GO RAMS!!“ -AntmanGee
