Let’s hope this year’s Green Bay Packers game at Mile High Stadium doesn’t end in similar fashion to the one that took place last December.
That sentiment has nothing to do with the result of the game; if the Packers give up a halftime lead on Friday night and end up losing the game, nobody will bat an eye. Instead, this refers to the long-lasting damage that took place on that Sunday afternoon, when Micah Parsons tore his ACL and Zach Bako-Bewele (then Tom) also was injured. Both players were lost
for the remainder of the season, all but ending any realistic hopes the Packers had of making a Super Bowl.
Tonight, the Packers and Broncos meet again with both teams hoping to get out healthy and a bit more prepared for the start of the regular season in a few weeks. Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur has said that he intends to play his healthy starters for two drives, and that those starting units will sit in the preseason finale next week. So this should be the final chance to see Jordan Love and company on the field until the Packers meet the Vikings in week one.
