John Schneider is playing all the hits today.
On Monday morning, just hours after news broke that the Seattle Seahawks have given Jaxon-Smith-Njigba a record-setting extension, a second fan-favorite receiver is here to stay.
The Seahawks have reportedly matched the offer sheet for Jake Bobo, saving him from the clutches of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
That’s two more years of Bobo, two years of more Bobo, or just Two More Bobo if you like.
Jake Bobo’s career has been an entertaining watch, to be sure. Constantly heralded as an elite blocker and important to the team, he was essentially invisible for the 2025 season before coming with several clutch plays in the playoffs. His all-around contributions are why the Jaguars sought him, and the Seahawks ultimately retained him. Two targets and two receptions might the lowest number in NFL history for a receiver in a contract year to then get over $5 million.
Clearly his presence on the team is worth more than his receiving numbers, as he now makes more than Cody White in his return to Seattle.
Call him wide receiver four plus benefits, but Bobo Is Back, Baby.
