It is a busy day here at Casa Dakers, my wife’s birthday. We are having friends over and someone is expected to barbecue steaks. I don’t think I’ve ever barbecued 20ish steaks all at one time. They will be barbecued medium rare (likely closer to rare) and if anyone wants their steak well done:
It is really just a busy weekend, but we will get through and get back to regular programming very soon.
The best news coming out of yesterday was that Buck Martinez is cancer free. He’s been through a lot, so
it is great to hear.
Yesterday there were a couple of roster moves, that you likely already know about:
- Brendan Cellucci was optioned to Buffalo.
- Josh Smith went on the IL with left hamstring inflammation (with all the players going down in Tampa, we are lucky Smith is the only one going on the IL
- Spencer Arrighetti came off the IL, and pitched some yesterday.
- Davis Schneider is back.
I’m running around until game time, or likely slightly after game time, so use this as an open thread until the game starts (our game threads are pretty much open threads most of the time.
