The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is back, with 14 teams forming the field with hopes of winning the 2026 edition of the tournament. You can see the full bracket here. It began on last week’s episode of NXT television with Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno taking out Los Americanos and The Creed Brothers handling business against Harley Riggins & Jax Presley.
We were back again for another pair of matchups this week.
First, Mini Vikingo & Starboy Chazz Hall were brought together to give us some flavor from AAA
and Evolve, and they went to war with Birthright’s Uriah Connors & Stacks Lorenzo. They absolutely tore the house down, too, with Vikingo scoring the winning pinfall on Lorenzo as Vic Joseph claimed they busted everyone’s bracket.
Vikingo & Hall move on to battle Vanity Project, who were given a first round bye.
Later, main roster tag team Fraxiom came back to NXT to take on Darkstate and they, too, tore the house down with a fun back-and-forth. Just like the first match, the high flyers got the job done to advance.
Fraxiom moves on to a showdown against Dar & Moreno in the quarterfinals.
