With his team ahead of St. Pauli 4-0 in the 67th minute, Bayern Munich defender Hiroki Itō motioned to the bench to exit the game.
The Japanese star, who has been riddled with injuries since joining the team prior to the start of the 2024/25 season, alerted the bench that he needed to come out and pointed to his calf, implying there was an issue.
The best case scenario is that this is just a cramp. Hopefully, Itō is not the latest Bayern Munich player to be felled by a calf issue this season. For whatever
reason, calf problems have become a problem within the squad:
Jonathan Tah came on to replace Itō.
