Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will go back out on loan for the 2026/27 season, returning to Turkish side Trabzonspor after spending the previous campaign between the posts there.
Onana signed for United in 2023 as the heir apparent to David De Gea. He arrived with experience playing for then manager
Erik ten Hag at Ajax, and had just played in the UEFA Champions League Final with Inter Milan. The arrival at Old Trafford did not go as expected, and after two years as the starter for two different managers he was sent on loan to Trabzonspor.
Onana started in 29 league games for the Turkish outfit last season. His performances improved over the season and the club finished in third place in the Super Lig. However, Onana did not put himself in contention for a return to United, and he was even dropped from the Cameroon squad ahead of the African Cup of Nations in December.
