The Philadelphia Eagles are 2-1 heading into their Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams at Lincoln Financial Field.
Things did not go well for Jalen Hurts and Co. on Monday night against the Bears, and not only did the offense fail to find their footing, but the defense could not buy a stop or make a tackle. The game highlighted a lot of the deficiencies on both sides of the ball, but there were still some positives to come away with.
Most notably positive was Hurts avoiding concussion protocol,
while simultaneously seeing the QB more emotional than he typically shows publicly. We also got to see glimpses of a successful run game. Saquon Barkley was able to get vertical, Drew Kendall and Cam Jurgens did a better job creating lanes, and they’re getting Makai Lemon more opportunities — although they could try using him further downfield.
It was unfortunately things like turnovers and poor fundamentals that kept the team behind the sticks most of the game, and on defense, a lack of turnovers and missed tackles helped create a tough situation to bounce back from.
Both sides of the ball will have challenges on Sunday with several Eagles starters sidelined with injuries, including Zack Baun (concussion), DeVonta Smith (hamstring), and Marcus Epps. The team is elevating two tight ends, Zach Ertz and Josiah Deguara, from the practice squad for the game, but aren’t adding any help on defense.

Both teams are coming off embarrassing losses in primetime, and are both looking to change the current trajectory of their season. The Rams are 1-2 heading into Sunday’s game in Philly, but most recently lost to the Broncos in a game full of uncharacteristic turnovers by QB Matthew Stafford. Los Angeles won’t have Aaron Donald to help on defense, but will still be a tough challenge for the Eagles.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.
