According to a report from Abendzeitung’s Maximilian Koch, Bayern Munich is looking to improve both outside-back positions. The piece was largely focused on the rumors from Bild that Bayern Munich might be open to selling Alphonso Davies, but Koch dropped in a nugget regarding the club’s desire to add new players into the mix for next season:
According to Bild, Bayern are even open to selling him in the summer if the offer for Davies is right. Manchester United are considered one of the interested
parties. Meanwhile, according to AZ, Bayern are looking to strengthen their full-back positions. Will Davies leave?
The Davies news is truly odd and does not seem likely. However, adding a left-back and a right-back this summer does not seem totally out of the realm of possibility given the relative uncertainty of some players on the backline (with injuries and contract situations).
The Bavarians could have some tough decisions to make regarding players on their current roster.
