Cleveland Browns fans have been waiting for several seasons for the team to reach a point where it seems like it could be a true contender in the division. While it’s still early, the Browns currently sit atop the AFC North alongside the Baltimore Ravens. There is still a lot to prove in the coming weeks, but this team certainly deserves to be part of the conversation.
They have one division win thus far, coming against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football. With upcoming division matchups
against the Baltimore Ravens, who could be without QB Lamar Jackson, and the Steelers for the second time, these games will really start to set the scene for what Cleveland can accomplish in the division.
Baltimore will likely be their biggest competition, as the Ravens are also 3-1 and have a history of being the best team in the division. The Browns’ much easier schedule gives them a leg up, but they will have to continue to execute. Deshaun Watson does not have to be perfect, but the offense will need to continue giving the team a chance to stay in these games.
Let me know what you think in the comments – Are the Browns truly contenders in the AFC North? If not, what do they have to do to convince you?
