The Dallas Mavericks (1-2) host their fourth straight home game, this time against the Oklahoma City Thunder (3-0). Dallas is coming off their first win of the season Sunday night against the Toronto Raptors. The Thunder have had a day’s rest after playing Saturday night.
The offense finally found itself Sunday night, with Dallas pouring in 139 points. The rebounded and pushed and even pushed off of Raptor makes. Dallas may not ever have a great half court offense, but on the run they’re a bear to stop.
The Thunder, meanwhile, have looked like champions. Despite playing two games with extra time, Oklahoma City looks deep and difficult. These are the main things to know before the game kicks off.

On the injury front, we’re back to last season with a lengthy list. Kyrie Irving and Dante Exum remain out. Daniel Gafford is doubtful with the same ankle sprain he’s missed all of October with. Dereck Lively was a surprise add to the report; he’s listed as doubtful with a knee contusion suffered against the Raptors. The Thunder have a long list as well. Jalen Williams, Nikola Topic, Thomas Sorber, and Kenrich Williams are recovering from surgery. Alex Caruso is in the concussion protocol. Isaiah Joe is out with a knee injury.
The longer preview written by new guy Chandler is right here for you to read. I recommend it. The betting post is here as well. Then there’s some news on the homepage which you should go seek out.
As you can tell below, you can join me in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime).
