In a rematch of last year’s NFC divisional round of playoffs, the Los Angeles Rams travel cross-country to Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA. Kickoff against the defending World Champion Eagles is scheduled for 10 a.m. PST, where L.A. will attempt to avenge last January’s 28-22 loss. Both teams boast a 2-0 record. Philly has wins over the Dallas Cowboys 24-20 and Kansas City Chiefs 20-17, while the Rams have knocked off the Houston Texans 14-9 and Tennessee Titans 33-19.
Last year the Rams
not only absorbed the playoff loss, but dropped a regular-season encounter as well, 37-20. Both Eagle victories were powered by a strong running game, rolling for 314 yards in Week 12 and backed it up with 285 in the playoffs. In their two 2025 wins, Philadelphia has continued to pound the football, running at a 62 percent clip. While 280 yards and 3.9 yards per carry are not dominating numbers, they have controlled time of possession by over seven minutes per game.
L.A. on the other hand, has been driven by chunk plays, logging 36 reps of 10 yards or better in their two wins. The explosives have mostly come through the air, but the Rams did show a glimpse of opening up a run game in Week 2. Quarterback Matthew Stafford has come out of the blocks hot, completing 70+ percent of his throws in an air attack that has consistently enjoyed a 57/43 pass-to-run ratio in the Sean McVay years.
Expect both teams to lean on what they do best. The Rams will have to throw the ball, getting their playmakers into space. Wearing opponents down is what Eagles will rely on, forcing their will in the trenches.
