The Dallas Mavericks (14-25) are home for a bit and start off this stretch by hosting the Brooklyn Nets (11-25) on Monday night. Dallas got waxed by the Chicago Bulls on Saturday in the first dead performance
from the Mavericks in some time. The Nets are on a three-game losing streak and most recently fell to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Heres the main things you need to know before tipoff.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Brooklyn Nets
- WHAT: Battle of the bad teams
- WHERE: American Airlins Center, Dallas, Texas
- WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: KFAA Channel 29, MavsTV streaming, NBA League Pass
The injury report for the Dallas Mavericks is laughable it’s so bad. We know there are now four players who are essentially out for the year: Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum, Dereck Lively, and now Anthony Davis. You can quibble with me about Irving and Davis, but we’ll see! PJ Washington and Brandon Williams are doubtful. Daniel Gafford has bounced between questionable and doubtful, so I have no idea what’s happening there. The Brooklyn Nets are without Egor Demin, Haywood Highsmith, Cam Thomas, and Ziaire Williams.

The main thing this game has going tonight is that it’s a fun game to see Cooper Flagg try to score a million points, if he’s into the game (he was not against the Bulls, he looked real lethargic). Michael Porter Jr. is pretty fun too and Dallas doesn’t have anyone past Flagg to guard him. It is a bobblehead night for the first 5,000 fans who arrive to the arena, which is fun. If anyone wants to get me one, that would be cool.
Consider joining Josh and me on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start LATE. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
