If one big contract news wasn’t good enough for this Friday, here’s another, as Lauren James has also put pen to paper on a new long-term contract today, just like her brother Reece James. Two new James contracts in one day?! Is it Christmas in spring?

James has battled a few injuries in the last couple seasons, but when fit, she’s one of the best players not just on Chelsea but in the entire world. The 24-year-old got her start at the Chelsea Academy before spending a few years at Arsenal and Manchester United. But in 2021 she came back home, and all was right with the world once again. And she’s now committed to the Blues for the next four years, through 2030.
“I’m really happy and over the moon to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. It’s been my club since I was young, so I’m really pleased to have extended my stay here. I can’t wait to make more memories, hopefully have more success and win more trophies with this amazing club.”
