This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was a noteworthy show for how much it set up the next few weeks of television for the red brand. Of note, we now know of multiple championship matches taking place over the coming weeks, as well as the final for the World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender’s Tournament that will give us yet another big title match.
Here’s what we have coming up:
Raw, Aug. 31
Roman Reigns will be making his return to TV to assess the situation with The Bloodline, which is now an absolute
mess. Jacob Fatu is unhinged, The Usos are getting run over by everyone, Solo Sikoa is gaining power, LA Knight is still being a thorn in all of their sides, and now Royce Keys is back to target everyone and he’s got backup with him in the form of OTM, who have been called up from NXT.
Then, he’ll also have to contend with the man who will be crowned the next top contender to his world heavyweight championship when the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament final will take place. Penta vs. Rey Fenix will decide who gets the shot.
Finally, Sol Ruca will get another crack at the Intercontinental championship when she takes on Raquel Rodriguez in a big rematch.
Raw, Sept. 7
Although Becky Lynch is also back and in the mix, Stephanie Vaquer will be first to get a crack at Liv Morgan and the women’s world championship. This comes on the heels of Vaquer defeating Morgan’s Judgment Day stablemate Roxanne Perez. Based on the way they’ve played this — with Lynch helping Vaquer while making clear she sees the two as competitors and nothing more — there’s plenty of directions they could go with this one.
Raw, Sept. 14
We always knew that this show, in Mexico City, would feature Roman Reigns defending the world heavyweight championship against the winner of the No. 1 Contender’s Tournament but now we know the Final of said tournament. It will be either Penta or Rey Fenix who will be challenging The Tribal Chief on this show.
We now also know that Lola Vice will make her main roster debut here as well.
Excited for everything WWE has planned?
