AEW’s annual cross-promotional pay-per-view (PPV) with New Japan — this year joined by CMLL and Stardom — is in the books. Sun., June 28’s Forbidden Door from San Jose, California closed with Will Ospreay going back on an old vow to win the Owen Hart Cup and earn a spot in All In’s main event. It was the last of the three thrilling main events at the end of long night of great wrestling.
Including The Buy In pre-show, the show from SAP Center featured 12 total matches. We didn’t get any title changes,
and the inter-company aspects feel past their sell-by date (if you know what I mean). But if you like in-ring storytelling, there was a lot like about Forbidden Door 2026.
Which means Tony Khan and the stars of All Elite Wrestling — and maybe some Japanese and lucha talent too — should have plenty to talk about at the media scrum kicking off right about now.
So click play up above and get ready for reactions to an eventful Forbidden Door on the post-show. The scrum should include some fun in-character work, comments on recent AEW-related news & rumors, some hints of what’s to come for the company & its partners, and who knows what else. These things have gotten pretty interesting on a few occasions in the past…
