The New England Patriots head into November with an opening on the 53-man roster.
The organization waived safety Elliott Davison on Monday and also announced the re-signing of running back Terrell Jennings to the practice squad.
Davison, 24, had been promoted to the active roster midway through October after twice serving as a standard elevation. The 6-foot, 190-pound safety first arrived in Foxborough on the practice squad in September before being released and re-signed. His stay has brought two
tackles and one pass deflection through three appearances spanning 10 snaps on defense and 57 snaps on special teams.
Entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of UTSA in 2025, Davison spent the entirety of his rookie year on the practice squad of the New Orleans Saints and reached a futures contract in January.

He was among three backs in for workouts in October.

The Florida A&M product went on to spend parts of the two campaigns on the 53-man roster after reaching the league limit in standard elevations from the practice squad. And in 2025, Jennings rushed for his first NFL touchdown before finishing the road to Super Bowl LX on injured reserve. Standing 10 appearances into his career with with 77 snaps on offense and 69 snaps on special teams, he has totaled 115 yards from scrimmage across 37 touches.
