Luis Suarez has hailed Hansi Flick’s Barcelona and says the team’s achievements under the coach are impressive.
Flick has won two La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey and a pair of Spanish Super Cup during his time at the helm and Suarez thinks the German coach has done a great job.
“Impressive. The truth is, every year they seem to say the same thing: that they won’t be able to handle the intensity, that they won’t be able to withstand the high press, that such a high defensive line will take its toll…
And yet they keep doing it,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“They’ve been playing with the same philosophy, the same players, and the same demands for a long time. And the team keeps delivering. Furthermore, Flick seems like a coach who’s very approachable. He speaks honestly, he tells them the truth.
“If a player isn’t going to play a match, he explains it and gives them the reasons. That’s very important for the players. He’s an approachable coach who understands what the players need and also what the team needs. And this, especially in a team like Barcelona, is crucial.”
Flick signed a new contract with Barcelona over the summer that runs until 2028 and will be aiming for more titles next season with the Catalans.
