Indiana men’s basketball’s first season under head coach Darian DeVries ended with disappointment when a late collapse kept the Hoosiers from receiving a bid in the NCAA Tournament, extending the program’s miss streak to three seasons.
DeVries responded by netting a transfer portal haul
that seems built to address the weaknesses of his first roster. Indiana landed six commitments within just over a week of the portal being open, ultimately signing Georgia Tech guard Jaeden Mustaf, Duke guard Darren Harris, Notre Dame guard Markus Burton, Villanova guard Bryce Lindsay, Alabama forward Aiden Sherrell and SMU center Samet Yigitoglu. All of whom have experience at the high major level and additional eligibility following the 2026-27 season in the likely event that Burton receives a waiver for the 2025-26 season.
How do you feel about DeVries’ portal haul? What about optimism for his second season now that he has it? Share your thoughts below in our Reacts Survey!
