Fresh off an extra innings victory over the Seattle Mariners, the Athletics will go for a series win this afternoon at T-Mobile Stadium in Seattle. The A’s have won eight series in 2025 and hope to add Seattle to the list for the second time this year with a victory today.
Taking the mound for the Athletics is 27-year-old lefty Jacob Lopez. Lopez enters today’s game with a 7-6 record and 3.28 ERA in sixteen starts (twenty appearances) for the year. This will be his first appearance against the Mariners.
Lopez will face off against 28-year-old righty Logan Gilbert. Gilbert, who missed just short of two months with a right elbow flexor strain, is currently 3-5 on the year with a 3.83 ERA. He’s made eighteen starts this season.
