The Seattle Seahawks finally got a piece of good news as starting right guard Anthony Bradford has been designated to return to practice from IR.
Bradford drew the ire of many a Seahawks fan over the last few years for his performance on the field, but given the recent performance of the offensive line, maybe those feelings were misplaced. In case you’ve been living under a rock, all
three of the Seahawks losses – equaling last year’s total – have happened with Bradford on the sidelines. In those games, the play of the offensive line has been, well…offensive at times.
“Normally I’m pretty coy on this one, but it’s pretty straightforward,” Mike Macdonald said on Monday. “If he has a good week, he’s gonna play a significant amount or the whole game.”
Bradford is a strong dude with a massive frame and ill intentions. The running game has been hamstrung for most of this season without Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet. Getting Bradford back could be the key to opening up more running lanes and taking the pressure off Sam Darnold. His return couldn’t come a moment too soon with the Seahawks treading water at 3-3 and welcoming the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs to Lumen Field for a prime-time matchup.
