Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Will Howard suffered a fractured bone in his hand before he could take a single preseason snap. And while there was some optimism that he could appear in the final preseason game if all went well, Howard didn’t take a snap in exhibition play. That said, the Steelers received some good news regarding the rookie quarterback.
According to Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, head coach Mike Tomlin says that the Ohio State product will be back to being a full
participant in practice soon.
Howard will be the No. 3 quarterback on the roster if all goes as expected with final cuts, meaning Skylar Thompson will be released or traded after his showing in the preseason.
