Bayern Munich could not outscore PSG as the second leg of the UCL semifinals finished 1-1. The captain Manuel Neuer pointed to some key shortcomings of Bayern that allowed PSG to stay ahead of the tie all night.
Not clinical on the big night
Missed passes, poor judgement of aerial balls and most importantly an abysmal shooting accuracy saw the Bavarians let themselves down. “We didn’t have big chances today, but we still created enough to score. We missed the killer mentality that PSG had to score the goals. We were close to the final
but couldn’t take the next step. Our goal came too late. We missed key moments today. The fans were there, we were there, but we simply didn’t create enough big chances in their box,” said Manuel Neuer after the draw at home (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Despite having 40 touches in the Paris box, Vincent Kompany’s men failed to get enough shots through. Harry Kane’s goal came very late and it needed a miracle from that point onward. A miracle that could not be conjured after a fantastic run in the Champions League this season. This loss will sting for a long time.
