Raw General Manager Adam Pearce kicked off this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Fresno, California, handling some business related to Stephanie Vaquer’s medical status. He couldn’t even get to the end of his announcements before WWE Champion Sami Zayn showed up pissed off, demanding some time in the ring with a live microphone.
He sure got it.
Zayn went off on a number of topics, mostly putting himself over as one of the all time greats. If your name isn’t Shawn, Eddie, or Kurt, you don’t even
belong in the conversation with him. Or so he says.
More notably, at least to this here writer, was Zayn claiming The Bloodline was never as good as it was until he came along and made the group. They simply weren’t as interesting until he made them so, an argument you could actually make without even needing to stretch too far.
Then he went further, saying executives get on their knees for Roman Reigns to thank him:
Hot damn! What a promo!
When Zayn turned his attention to the likes of Je’Von Evans, he got someone to actually answer him (because Reigns isn’t there, of course). Evans stepped to the champ, made his case, and Zayn slapped him down. This wouldn’t be much of a pro wrestling show if the babyface GM didn’t book the babyface upstart against the asshole heel champion, would it?!?
So they did that, RIGHT THEN, and RIGHT THERE.
