Vegas has spoken, and they do not like Kentucky Football’s odds of derailing the Lane Train when LSU arrives at Kroger Field this Saturday night.
Despite erasing a 17-point deficit on the road against South Carolina last weekend to improve to 4-1, the Wildcats are walking into their first home night game of the Will Stein era as massive 9.5-point underdogs against LSU.
The oddsmakers are essentially daring Big Blue Nation to bet on their own team, and I know some of you probably already did. LSU is
definitely going to be one of the hardest tests of the season for Will Stein, Jay Bateman, and Joe Sloan.
The Tigers bring an explosive offense and the No. 2 rushing defense in the country to Lexington. However, Kentucky loves turnovers, coming in 12th in the country right now.
And LSU isn’t a team that is particularly strong with the ball. Sam Leavitt has thrown seven interceptions, and the Tigers as a team have fumbled it six times so far this season, though they have been able to recover each of them. That will be a big key to this game, I think. If Kentucky can turn LSU over and capitalize with points, this should be a close game.
If the Cats can’t, then LSU’s offense may be too much.
With the lights shining on Kroger Field this Saturday night, we want to know exactly where you stand.
