The Miami Dolphins are in the midst of their bye week, taking time to rest, recover, and re-energize as they prepare for the 12-week run they will face when they return to work next week. Miami entered the season as the youngest team in the league, relying on rookies and second-year players all across the roster in the first season of a franchise-wide rebuild.
Kenneth Grant, the team’s 2025 first-round pick, is in that group and is looking to continue developing his game. After missing the first four
games with a toe injury, Grant returned last week in a loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Grant played just 16 snaps, 25 percent of Miami’s defensive plays, as the team eased him back into action. According to The Palm Beach Post reporter Joe Schad, Grant has bigger plans for himself:
“Just get better, get better from last season,” Grant said of his 2026 goal. “Be dominant, be dominating in the run and pass game, and get a lot of wins for this team.” …
Grant is noticeably slimmer this season. But his mission for this season is clear: to be such a bull in the trenches that he clears the path for linebackers Jacob Rodriguez and Jordyn Brooks to tackle everything.
“What Hafley asks us as a d-lineman in the run game is to grind blocks and be gritty type of guys, take on double teams,” Grant said. “So our guys, 10 (Rodriguez) and 20 (Brooks), can make plays and fly around. Just be us, mix it up and rush the passer and affect the QB.”
