With linebacking depth already a concern, the Seattle Seahawks took another hit to the position early against the Tennessee Titans.
The Seahawks entered the game without starting linebackers Ernest Jones
IV and Tyrice Knight, leaning on practice squad call-ups Drake Thomas and Patrick O’Connell. On a kickoff return, depth linebacker Chazz Surratt went down with an ankle injury and limped off the field with medical assistance.
The former North Carolina Tar Heel has made several stops across the league, most recently spending 2024 with the New York Jets. Surratt has appeared in all 10 games for the Seahawks, primarily as a special teams player, but has racked up four tackles in his time on defense.
The only available Seahawks linebackers for the rest of this game are starters Patrick O’Connell and Drake Thomas, as well as Jamie Sheriff. Nick Emmanwori can essentially function as another linebacker, but Seattle will go the rest of the afternoon without Surratt. They already didn’t have Ernest Jones, who was inactive.
