According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, RB Leipzig could be set to part ways with defender Castello Lukeba this summer as the player is reportedly seeking a “new challenge” for the 2026/27 campaign:
🚨🆕 Castello #Lukeba could leave RB Leipzig this summer after three years, with both sides open to a move. The club would accept around €65-70m, below his €80m release clause.
23 y/o Lukeba is keen on a new challenge, and his future now depends on incoming offers.

Lukeba has been a bright sport for RB Leipzig this season and his exit would represent a big loss for Die Roten Bullen, which seems to be gearing up to make a serious run at knocking Bayern Munich off of its perch next season.
In recent weeks, Lukeba has been linked to Premier League powers like Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC. A jump to England seems to be what the young defender is eyeing.
