Just last week, we wondered if this was the weakest Bundesliga field of the last decade.
On Monday, former Bayern Munich head coach and current Borussia Dortmund boss Niko Kovač gave his thoughts on BVB’s ability to compete with Bayern Munich.
“We cannot challenge Bayern, I think everyone can see that. Bayern are not only first in the Bundesliga, they are also right up there in the Champions League. That means this team has a class of their own, which is not to be seen in the rest of the Bundesliga at the moment.
We know in the end where Bayern shop and where we shop. That is how it is. We all have to accept it. I said at the start of the season that we want to secure top 4 as quickly as possible,” Kovač said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
What do you make of these comments from Kovač — is he correct? Should he have said it? What message does this send to Borussia Dortmund fans?
