While Cleveland Browns GM Andrew Berry knows no bounds when it comes to making adjustments to the team’s rosters, this is not the Luke Floriea post many fans are hoping to see at some point. The Kent State star and training camp hero is still unsigned after only one reported workout.
Berry is reportedly bringing in a former Browns receiver for a workout on Tuesday. With veteran Tylan Wallace injured, Cleveland’s depth chart lacks a lot of veteran presence outside of (possibly on the trading block)
Jerry Jeudy to help support the young star receivers at the position.
James Proche III could help fill that role if his workout goes well on Tuesday:
A sixth-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, Proche has played for three teams, including last year with the Tennessee Titans. Primarily a kick return specialist, Proche has only caught 34 passes for 364 yards in 71 career games. He has returned 68 punts and 60 kicks, including 41 punt returns for Cleveland spread over two seasons.
So far in 2026, RB Raheim Sanders and WRs Malachi Corley and KC Concepcion have taken on the return duties for the Browns.
Do you think the Browns should add a punt returner to keep Concepcion fresh? Is a veteran receiver, if Wallace is out, a helpful part for the young WR corps? Any fond Proche memories with the Browns?
