Bayern Munich faced FC Heidenheim in their last game of 2025. The Bavarians end their year on a high with a 4-0 victory against the home side.
With Konrad Laimer facing a one-match ban following his yellow against Mainz, Josip Stanišić started at right-back. The Croatian who’d mostly been playing left-back due to the absence of Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Īto performed decently, registering his second goal of the season.
Following the game, he spoke on several aspects. Speaking of the first half, he called
it a good start.
“In a game like this, it’s crucial to start strong and show the opponent that there’s nothing for them to gain today,” he said via @iMiaSanMia.
Describing the first goal, he said, “We practiced that sort of corner a lot, I ran to the near post and hoped the ball would somehow find its way to me. And in the end, it was a goal. It was important to just bring a bit of calm to the game.”
“The second goal made things a bit easier for us. Nevertheless, we had to step it up again in the second half. We made a few changes, and then we also had a fantastic goalkeeper who kept a clean sheet. delivering due praise to Jonas Urbig. We have confidence in ourselves and know what we’re capable of. We need to carry that momentum into the new year.”
When it needed to circle the wagons, Bayern Munich was able to do exactly that and dig down deep for the victory to end the Hinrunde.
