Barcelona are being linked with a move for Palmeiras’s latest wonderkid Eduardo Conceição who is also thought to be on Manchester City’s radar.
A new report from AS details how Barcelona are “closing in” on the youngster. Conceição has a contract until 2029, with a release clause set at January €100 million, but the report claims Palmeiras will be happy with €50m.
Barcelona are said to have gone in for a “lightning-fast
negotiation” as they don’t want to miss out on Conceição amid interest from plenty of other clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 16-year-old has already been likened to Estêvão – who Barcelona wanted but saw move to Chelsea instead – and is widely regarded as yet another special talent to come out of the Brazilian side.
There has been talk already that Manchester City have offered €40m, and the race to land the exciting youngster seems to be hotting up already.
