Barcelona are reportedly set to register new signing Roony Bardghj with the first team for the 2025-26 season following a recommendation from La Liga.
The Catalans had been mulling over whether to register Roony with the first team or Barca Atletic but it seems he will go with the senior squad.
According to Diario AS, Barcelona have made the decision following a “recommendation from LaLiga” which they plan on accepting in a bid “not to strain relations.”
Barcelona and La Liga became embroiled in a bit
of a spat last season, due to the registrations of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, and it seems the Catalans don’t want a repeat.
Roony has already missed Barcelona’s opening game of the season and may have to sit out this weekend’s trip to Levante as well while the club try to resolve their continuing registrations problems.
The player has reportedly been promised he will be registered by the end of the month, but he may have to be patient until then.
The report adds that Barcelona have been happy with Roony since he arrived and would only think of a loan for the youngster this season “if registration becomes impossible for some reason.”
