With Maryland basketball’s 2025-26 season finally over, Terps fans can now look to the future. And there’s one pretty bright star that awaits next season.
Five-star recruit Baba Oladotun will have high expectations for Maryland next season, but at the high school level, there were none. Oladotun had sat out Blake High School’s entire season due to injury — until Tuesday, when he appeared in the MPSSAA Class 4A semifinal game against Meade.
Oladotun entered the game in the first quarter and made his presence felt throughout. He finished with 11 points on 5-of-13 shooting and four rebounds in just 18 minutes. And after a teammate missed two free throws with the game tied at 64 in overtime, Oladotun delivered.
That shot sent Blake to the Class 4A state championship game, where it will play Walt Whitman High School in an all-Montgomery County affair.
That game will tip off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore. Tickets will be available at this link starting at noon Thursday.
