The Guardians lost another disappointing game and held a team meeting after the game.
After Sunday’s rain delay-impacted 5-3 loss to the division-leading White Sox, dropping Cleveland to 3-6 in the season series, Paul Hoynes reported that Stephen Vogt led a team meeting.
The game lasted one inning before entering a rain delay. No word from White Sox pitcher Anthony Kay on if his own grounds crew is guilty of shenanigans or not.
The White Sox had a grueling 12-inning loss to the Red Sox and then a terrible
blunder from their manager on Friday, and still found a way to win this series against the Guardians which is incredibly disappointing. The Guardians do not seem to be able to find a way to hit bullpen-day pitchers.
Cleveland will get a chance to turn it around against the Tigers starting tomorrow. It’s hard to feel optimistic at the moment.
