The Bears picked up their first win of the 2025 preseason on Sunday, pummeling the Bills in a 38-0 rout at Soldier Field.
Week 2 of Chicago’s preseason marked the first action that Caleb Williams and the rest of the offensive starters got in a game setting under new head coach Ben Johnson. In limited playing time, the starters put together a strong outing. The backups kept their end of the bargain, securing the first shutout win the Bears have had in the preseason since 2015.
As I did all of last year,
I will be publishing five scouting reports on the performance of Bears players that fans want to hear about the most. All five of these scouting reports will go up on my Patreon every week as soon as I have finished breaking down the All-22 tape. You can join as a subscriber and receive all of my exclusive Bears and NFL Draft content for as low as $1 a month, or you can buy individual scouting reports for $3 each as you see fit.
Like last year, I will post one of my five scouting reports for free here on Windy City Gridiron for every game the Bears play, both in the preseason and in the regular season. This week, I broke down the tape of the following players:
- QB Caleb Williams
- LT Theo Benedet
- WR Luther Burden III
- LT Kiran Amegadjie
- LG/RG Luke Newman
To give you a preview of what the scouting reports look like, here’s my one-page breakdown on how Theo Benedet performed on Sunday:
