Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bears fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly
emailed surveys.
If you signed up for the weekly emailed Reacts surveys, you would have received a bunch of questions about the NFL, but also the question up there in the title was posed to our Reacts voters this week.
Are the Chicago Bears a good team?
I’m curious to see how fans of all 32 teams view the Bears, but I suspect the results will skew towards the negative. The Bears have been down for some time, so some doubt is expected. Plus, Chicago’s a huge market, and with that comes plenty of haters.
And then there’s the quarterback.
Caleb Williams is polarizing among some of our own fanbase, and that’s just magnified when you venture out among fans of the other 31 teams. He’s popular, as evidenced by being top 15 in jersey sales since coming into the league, but others can’t wait for him to fail.
Here’s my take on the Chicago Bears. At (7-3), they’re beating bad teams, so anyone who thinks they’re also bad is just being negative out of habit. And if they aren’t bad, then they must be… good.
If you are what your record says you are, then the Bears are a .700 team, and right now that makes them… good.
In the comment section, let us know if you think the Bears are good or bad (and don’t even try to give a “they’re average” or “they’re lucky” cop out answer).
In the Reacts survey below, let us know if you are confident in the direction of the franchise, and also vote for the player you feel will be the most important for the Bears to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday.
