Steve Maclin has been released from TNA, and it’s not a storyline this time.
With rumors bouncing around, TNA confirmed the release of Steve Maclin and Myla Grace. TNA posted the following statement:
TNA Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Steve Maclin and Myla Grace, effective immediately. We wish them the best in the their future endeavors.
Maclin is a former TNA world champion and two-time TNA international champion. He recently had a Feast or Fired storyline where he was the man that got
fired. Maclin took matters into his own hands to get re-hired and extort a world title shot out of the situation. Unfortunately, Maclin suffered real head trauma in the opening minutes of the match, and it was waved off to protect his health. Maclin returned to TNA about six weeks later to challenge Mike Santana on the May 21 episode of Impact, and he lost clean. That looks to be Maclin’s final match in TNA, for now.
Now comes the speculation for where Maclin could head next. He has experience in the WWE/NXT system as the formerly known Steve Cutler with The Forgotten Sons stable. Maclin was released from WWE in 2021. He could join his wife, Deonna Purrazzo, in the AEW universe. Even if it’s only ROH, that would get his foot in the door to join the Callis Family. Anther promotion to keep an eye on would be Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling run by Scott D’Amore, and I bet Maclin’s style of wrestling would fit well in the NWA.
Myla Grace signed with TNA in May of 2025. On screen, she formed a friendship with fellow UK wrestler Harley Hudson. Grace never picked up momentum beyond that. She was primarily used to put others over in defeat. Grace is moving on, and she already has a flashy theme song.
