My general philosophy on reports from OTAs and mini-camps is that you shouldn’t overreact to what happens on the field either way. The work they do on the field in the offseason is certainly important, but it really doesn’t mean that much about what will happen when the season starts. Just think about how many times we, as fans of the Tennessee Titans, have gotten really excited about a late-round receiver that ended up doing nothing in real games.
There has been a lot of talk about Cam Ward struggling
this offseason. It really shouldn’t be that surprising considering they are installing a new offense, but people online have had a lot of #hottaeks on what has been reported. Ward still has a lot to prove, but there were a lot of encouraging signs from him last season in an offense that was objectively bad. Calling him a bust at this point is dumb. Could he be a bust? Absolutely, he could, but it is far too early to make that determination at this point.
