A rematch of Serhii Bohachuk’s 2021 stoppage loss to Brandon Adams has officially been set for September 13 as ESPN reports the fight will join the preliminary undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The rematch between Bohachuk (25-2, 24 KOs) and Adams (25-4, 16 KOs) has been scheduled by Dana White as a 10-round catchweight fight that will take place at 156 lbs, which will be part of five other fights that will stream live on YouTube before the main card, including:
Reito Tsutsumi (2-0, 1 KO) vs. Javier Martinez (7-2, 4 KOs), Steven Nelson (20-1, 16 KOs) vs. Raiko Santana (12-4, 6 KOs), Marcos Verde (2-0, 1 KO) vs. an opponent to be determined, and Sultan Almohamed (pro debut) vs. Martin Caraballo (0-0-1).
The first time Bohachuk and Adams met in the ring a few years back it seemed as if Adams was starting to fade before Adams clipped Bohachuk with a big shot that prompted a furious rally for Adams to come from behind in the fight to win.
Naturally Bohachuk believes he could’ve avoided that mistake and will look to avenge his loss to Adams, having the confidence he’ll be the one to close out the show this time around.
