The San Francisco Giants continue this road trip today as they begin a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Logan Webb, who enters today’s game with a 3.72 ERA, 3.37 FIP, with 118 strikeouts to 36 walks in 147.2 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 10-9 loss to the Cincinnati Reds last Wednesday, in which he allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts and a walk in six innings.
He’ll be facing off against Pirates
right-hander Paul Skenes, who enters today’s game with a 3.79 ERA, 2.96 FIP, with 175 strikeouts to 41 walks in 145 innings pitched. His last start was in the Pirates’ 1-0 win over the San Diego Padres last Tuesday, in which he allowed just three hits with four strikeouts in six innings.
