The New York Jets have traded sixth round pick #199 and seventh round pick #242 to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for sixth round pick #188. With the 188th pick in the 2026 NFL draft the Jets selected Miami interior offensive lineman Anez Cooper.
Anez Cooper is a massive man. He is a 22 year old, 6’ 6”, 335 pound guard with 34” arms. This is a mountain of a man. Last year Cooper earned second team All ACC honors.
Anez Cooper has some limitations. A man of his size can struggle in space and against
quicker, more explosive pass rushers. But he has great power and a good first punch. When he can stay in front of his opponent he will not be moved. The Jets will hope to develop Cooper into an eventual starter at guard. For now he projects as a backup.
The Jets have one more pick left in the 2026 NFL draft, pick #228 in the seventh round.
