Kentucky football is looking at making potential upgrades to Kroger Field.
Earlier this summer, the University of Kentucky Board of Trustees approved $36 million in renovation projects.
That amount was broken
down to $15 million for generic stadium upgrades like seating and other things that impact fans followed by $13 million for suite upgrades and $8 million to upgrade the stadium’s premium club area as well as the stadium-wide Wi-Fi.
KSR’s Tyler Thompson outlined a handful of opportunities that Kentucky could spend that money on, starting with premium upgrades to the stadium and then diving into what development ideas UK could explore.
The “Potential Premium Areas” was a wide range of ideas from a pregame beer garden to enhanced seats to different tailgating experiences.
As for the development ideas, that list was more geared towards restaurants, hotels, bars, retail and even housing.
UK Athletics sent out surveys to fans to see just what Big Blue Nation would have to say.
What would you like to see improved at Kroger Field? Is there anything that quickly comes to mind that would enhance the fan experience at Kentucky football games?
