Ez Abde has been linked with a return to Barcelona in the summer transfer window as the Catalan giants look for a new left winger.
The Morocco international has been enjoying a strong season with Betis and came face to face with his former employers on Sunday night at Camp Nou as Barcelona ran out 3-1 winners.
Abde may have ended up on the losing side but it seems he still managed to impress manager Hansi Flick with his performance.
The Barcelona coaching staff were keeping a very close eye on Abde
at Camp Nou on Sunday and liked what they saw. Indeed Flick is said to have been “pleasantly surprised” by his showing, per Cadena Ser.
Abde is seen as a potential alternative to Marcus Rashford on the left of the Barca attack, although there have been conflicting reports about whether the Catalans will move for the winger this summer.
There’s also speculation that Abde may not be too keen on a summer transfer now that Betis have secured Champions League football for next season.
